    • The word "gymnastics" comes from the Greek word "gymnazo," meaning "to exercise naked."

    • Jahn developed apparatus such as the parallel bars and vaulting horse.

  5. Aerobic Gymnastics:

    • A high-energy, dance-based form of gymnastics performed to music, focusing on endurance and flexibility.
